Xavier College Preparatory’s Honor Choir captured the top score in “women’s chorus” at the WorldStrides Heritage Festival of Gold in Washington, D.C., on Monday, April 7th. Directed by alumna Brittanie Fain, the Xavier Honor Choir was then invited to perform a special encore at the festival concert. Here are what sisters; Savannah and Sophie Wix had to say about her year in chorus:

“Xavier Honor Choir has been the best part of my day for the past two years that I’ve been in it. The girls have become some of my best friends. After working tirelessly during class and at outside rehearsals, it was so rewarding to have won in DC. I am really looking forward to all that Xavier Honor Choir has in store.” –Savannah, Junior

“As a proud members of the Xavier Honor Choir, we have learned to work together to create beautiful music under the guidance of our talented director and accompanist, Ms. (Brittanie) Fain and Ms. (Naoko) Garrison.  The Heritage Festival of Gold in Washington D.C. was a tremendous growing experience for us all.  There was a dramatic difference in our sound and expression after the Festival.  I have formed life-long friendships with the girls in our choir and always look forward to choir class!” –Sophie, Senior
