Xavier Freshwoman To Represent Arizona At Prestigious Golf Invitational

Xavier College Preparatory freshwoman Ashley Menne is the only Arizona girl who will play at the prestigious 2016 PING Invitational that begins on Friday, October 7th at the Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A total of 72 girls and boys from across the United States, ranging from 12 to 19 years of age, were selected to play in the American Junior Golf Association event.

Ms. Menne has been a medalist in seven of the nine matches played by the Xavier team thus far in the 2016 high school golf season. Most recently, she won the individual title in the inaugural Brophy-Xavier Invitational. (She was also a member of the Xavier team that captured the team trophy.)

In other news, Xavier senior Elizabeth Caldarelli has been named to the American Junior Golf Association’s 2016 Transamerica Scholastic Honor Roll. She is one of only 32 female high school golfers in the nation to achieve this year’s honor.
