Two St. Francis Xavier Students win the AZ Rosary Poster Contest

The Arizona Rosary Celebration is in it 42nd year in the Phoenix Diocese. In an effort to continue the education of children about the Rosary Celebration, the Diocese of Phoenix has asked students in Kindergarten – eighth grade to participate in the annual contest.

This year the theme was My Family Praying before Our Lady of Fatima. St. Francis Xavier is proud two of their students were selected as contest winners: Olivia Bartos, Kindergarten and Lauren Lum Lung, fourth grade student. Olivia and Lauren had lunch with Bishop Olmsted on Thursday, December 14. Olivia said, “She got to explain her rosary poster to the Bishop and he showed her his ring that had a matching cross with a heart (just like in her drawing). Olivia thought that was very cool.” The Bishop visited with each contest winner during the luncheon. Lauren Lum Lung said, “She really enjoyed being able to visit with Bishop Olmsted, and the opportunity of explaining her poster to him.”
