Third Grader, Jayden, Talks Football and St. John Vianney

Jayden is an amazing kid! When he’s not in the classroom eagerly learning or helping his classmates, you can find him out on the football field with his teammates. Jayden has been playing tackle football for two years and he loves the game. On and off the field, Jayden continues to excel in his achievements, making Principal’s list every school year as well as defensive player of the year. Jayden is a stellar student-athlete and loves to read, hike and build legos.

Q. Can you tell us about your football team?
A. I’ve been playing with my team for three seasons. We’ve travelled to San Diego for tournaments and we just lost in the semi-finals over the weekend. We are all really good friends and have fun on and off of the field.

Q. Can you tell us about St. John Vianney?
A. We have great teachers and our specials are really fun. We get to learn about God and go to Mass as a school family every week. I love it because I’ve had the same classmates since I was in preschool and we’re all in third grade now!

Q. What do you like to do with your family and friends?
A. I like going to the park to play catch and the movies.

Q. Do you have a favorite football player?
A. Todd Gurley hands down. He’s an awesome running back. I admire his work on the field and his willingness to give off of the field. I also wear the same number he wore when he played college football.

Q. What is your favorite class in school?
A. I love P.E. we play so many cool games. The best part is that my mom is my teacher.

Q. Do you have a favorite hiking spot?
A. Sabino Canyon in Tucson is my favorite places I have been to. I would love to go to Sedona and hike Soldier’s pass, I have seen it in pictures and it looks really fun.

Jayden Arrington is a third grader at St. John Vianney Catholic School.
