Stroke Survivor, Hanna, Helps Others

Hanna is constantly willing to help others. She knows she is not capable of doing everything her friends can, but it has never stopped her from trying or finding her own talents and gifts.

Can you tell us why the month of May is so important to you?

It is my birth month and May is also Stroke Awareness month so I like to bring awareness to those that have suffered a stroke. I myself have suffered one, it can affect anyone at any age.

What are some ways you have helped others in need?

I have donated my hair twice for Cancer sufferers, I ran the P.F. Chang’s Kid Rock several times that help different charities, I donated all of my birthday presents to the Children’s Hospital for my ninth birthday, and I get a present for the Salvation Army’s Christmas Angel program every year.

What are some things you like to do for fun?

I like to sing, act and hang out with my friends.

Do you have any plans for the future?

I would like to go to college and be an actress.

Hanna is a fifth grader at Benchmark School.
