STA Eighth Graders, AIDAN and NATALIE, Support Hurricane Victims in Texas

Aidan and Natalie, organized a clothing and toy drive for children in Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey. The two students presented their idea to their principal, Mrs. Scheller, who gladly supported taking the project school-wide. Natalie and Aidan asked the STA community to support their efforts, and in just one week 1750 pounds of donations were collected! The students approached several companies to help support the project. Home Depot donated boxes for the items to be boxed and shipped. Swift Transportation agreed to help haul the donations to Texas, and Tuesday Morning donated trailer space and added donations to the drive as well. Thanks to Natalie and Aidan, the entire St. Thomas Aquinas community, and those that donated items or services to the drive, many children in Texas who lost so much will be helped.

Aidan Bobis and Natalie Jonak are both eighth graders at Saint Thomas Aquinas Grade School
