STA Eighth Grader, Lucy Stark, Talks School and Family

Lucy is the definition of hard work and dedication and a wonderful student! She is the youngest of three girls and loves exploring, learning, inventing, solving problems and anything mechanical. She’s known for always having a glass-half-full attitude!

Q. What have you learned being the youngest of three?
A. I’ve learned to have a sense of humor!

Q. Where do you get your determination?
A. I get my determination from my family. They want me to be the best I can and use my abilities. They encourage me to grow.

Q. How has St. Thomas the Apostle prepared you for the future?
A. St. Thomas has prepared me for the future. Their academics are strong in all subjects. They expect above average work. St. Thomas has taught me about virtues and how to be a good person.
Q. Who do you look up to the most?
A. I look up to my oldest sister, Sadie, the most. She is so determined to get good grades and stay focused on school. She is also kind and is loving.

Q. Tell us about your family!
A. I have two older sisters, Sadie and Molly, and my Mom and Dad. We have 20 in our extended family. We travel together (five of us) and we go to the beach with all 20 of us.

Q. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not studying?
A. I enjoy playing cards and hiking with my dad, and making tic-tocs with Molly.

Q. What impact do you hope to leave on those who look up to you?
A. I hope to make a strong, positive impact on those who look up to me. I hope they know you can work through challenges with lots of ups and downs.
