New Way Academy senior, Alec McCulloch, is known for his brilliant smile and humble leadership. Alec not only excels in academics, but is known for being positive role model for other students, setting an example through his actions as someone who is always willing to lend a hand or help a friend. Alec has many talents, and his New Way family can’t wait to see where the future will take him!
Q. How long have you been a student at New Way?
A. This is my seventh year at New Way. I started the summer before sixth grade.
Q. What’s your best New Way memory?
A. My best New Way memory is when I received the MVP award for Ultimate Frisbee.
Q. I hear that you’re very involved inside and outside of school. What are some of your extracurricular activities? What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t at school?
A. Right now I am playing baseball. I also played Ultimate Frisbee and basketball this year. My favorite sport to play is Ultimate Frisbee. Outside of school, I enjoy playing video games, watching the Diamondbacks, playing basketball with my brother, and sleeping.
Q. What is one interesting or little known fact about yourself?
A. Something most people don’t know about me is that my favorite food to eat is filet mignon.
Q. You’ll be graduating soon! What are your plans for after graduation?
A. In the summer, I will be taking a road trip with my family and then I plan to get a job. Eventually, I want to have my own business. It will probably be something to do with dogs.
Q. What is one goal you have for your future?
A. One goal I have is that I want to own more than one home someday.
