Saint John Vianney’s First Grader, Emma, Talks Gymnastics and School

Emma is a great kid because Emma has a huge heart. She’s bright and has a true love for learning. Emma’s favorite hobby is reading; she could read all day long. She goes to gymnastics twice a week and is a great student.

Q: You are going to gymnastics tell us about that?

A: I go to tumbling and trampoline (TNT) at Flames gymnastics in Tolleson. I go twice a week for an hour each class.

Q: How long have you been practicing gymnastics?

A: I have been doing TNT for four months. My favorite things to do are play “popcorn” on the trampoline and do one-handed cartwheels. {She’s finally perfected it.}

Q: What do you love to learn at Saint John?

A: I love to learn art at SJV. I love to learn math. The best thing about being in first grade is my teacher, Mrs. Brady. I love my teacher because she teaches me a lot and is really nice.

Q: What do you wish to be when you grow up?

A: When I grow up I wish to be a veterinarian because I want to help animals of all kinds.

Q: Do you have anything special planned for this summer?

A: This summer I will be going to the beach with my mom, dad, and younger twin brothers Ryan and Noah. They have never been to the beach so I am going to show them how to build sand castles and sand angels.

Emma is a first grader at Saint John Vianney.
