Primavera Online High School, Arizona’s leading online high school, is proud to announce that Tamara Becker has been hired as Executive Director for its upcoming 2019–20 school year.
As executive director, Becker is responsible for leading Primavera’s 20,000 full- and part-time students and approximately 300 teachers and staff. She will also collaborate with her leadership team to oversee major administrative tasks to guide students in becoming college and career ready.
“I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to learn in an environment in which flexibility, compassion and encouragement are shown to students on a consistent basis and without hesitation,” said Becker. “In addition, I am here to support our leadership, teachers, counselors and staff as they diligently work to provide students and their parents with the most positive, memorable high school experience possible.”
Becker brings with her more than 20 years of education experience, including previously holding numerous district-level positions as an assistant superintendent, dean and a director of education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in education, a Master of Science in reading and special education and a principal certificate.
“Tamara brings tremendous experience in education to Primavera,” said Damian Creamer, founder and CEO of Primavera. “Her ability to engage with our students and broader school community will set our school up for a bright future as we head into the upcoming academic year.”
