Olivia’s personal accomplishments in the gym show that the 4’8” champion is on the rise. In 2012, she was first in her division at the state championships. In 2013, Olivia received a combined score of 38.625, the highest in the history of her gym, and the second highest in the state of all girls who qualified for Levels 4 and 5.
Olivia spends nearly 30 hours per week training in the gym. She also has spent time at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center in Huntsville, Tex., which is designated by the U.S. Olympic Committee as a U.S. Olympic Training Site. There she learned from several former Olympic gymnasts and coaches such as Valeri Liukin, 1988 Olympic champion and father of Nastia Liukin, 2008 Olympic all-around gold medal winner. Olivia recently competed at Level 5 in Ontario, Calif., at the Glider’s International meet. She will move up to Level 7 for two more meets in March, and then will compete at Level 7 at the spring state championships March 21-23.
