PHOENIX COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL 11th Grader ETHAN ROSENFELD Places First Place at AzSEF

PCDS 11th grade student Ethan Rosenfeld earned first-place in the Senior Division of Physics & Astronomy at the Arizona Science and Engineering Fair (AzSEF) for his research titled “Development of a thin and inexpensive open-air proton beam detector for characterizing the beam profile and position.” Ethan’s work is part of a collaboration between researchers at ASU and clinicians at the Mayo Clinic. He was also selected to compete in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) which will be held in Phoenix May 12 – 17.
