Griffin’s outgoing personality and quick wit have helped the show to become an overnight sensation on campus. Griffin shares a little bit more about his experience as a first time talk show personality.
Q. What’s it like to be the host of your own show?
A. It’s a really cool experience. I don’t think I would have the chance to do this in a big public school. It’s really pretty fun to host your own show.
Q. Is this something you would like to do in college or as a career?
A. Realistically, I have very little chance of becoming a talk show host on TV, but if the opportunity presented itself, I would probably take it! I definitely want to major in film in college. I want to make movies!
Q. Where do you find inspiration for your show?
A. Ninety percent of the time, I get ideas from everyday life. I just have a fun time making the show with my friends. I also have a great producer and writers.
Q. How did you come up with the idea for the GVS?
A. Last year, in my Digital Media course, we were brainstorming ideas on documentaries. I thought it would be interesting to do a talk show using my skills to make the show funny, engaging and interesting to students and teachers.
Q. What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced in making the show?
A. There are few key things that can be challenging, like organization, coordination, operation, and cooperation. Oh, and we always forget to turn on the boom mics.
