Who are some singers that you look up to for motivation or inspiration? I look up to “Alex & Sierra, recent X-Factor winners because they didn’t start with much but they pursued their dreams and won! I also like Christian artist, Chris August because he has a good sense of humor and he is very inspiring.

Tell our readers what this win means for you now? It means so much to me to see people believe in me and encourage song writing and me to keep playing my music I love.

What singing events has this opened up for you? Since the talent competition, one of the judges invited me to sing a few songs on a television show called “Su Vida”, on COX Channel 7, which airs in a couple of weeks. I was also invited to sing at a benefit concert for a 12-year-old fighting brain cancer on February 22nd.

How long have you been singing? My Mom tells me I’ve been singing since I was two, but I had my first solo at my church Christmas play when I was five years old.

Do you have a favorite singing competition TV Show? Yes, X Factor.

When you are not singing and going to school what are you doing? I like to play volleyball, make loom bracelets, and ride my bike.

Do you ever get stage freight before you perform? Yes, all the time. My palms get sweaty and my heart starts beating really fast.
What do you do to over come that fear? I just try to believe in myself & say a silent prayer in my mind.
