Madison Park Student, Yamilet Morales, Succeeds Academically and Musically

Madison Park eighth grade student Yamilet Morales demonstrates that you can excel academically while taking full advantage of Madison’s extracurricular opportunities. Yamilet maintains a 3.86 GPA and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, the softball team, the flag football team (one of only two girls this season), and plays flute in the Madison Park Band.

Yamilet’s musical aspirations were fueled after a field trip to the Musical Instrument Museum, and she’s hoping to add violin to her list of talents. Recently, Yamilet auditioned and was selected for the Greater Phoenix Honor Band, earning her a spot reserved for only one hundred students. Her creativity extends beyond music, as she aspires to become a professional animator, where she can utilize her art and imagination in a professional capacity. Yamilet’s education at Madison Park, a STEM school, has equipped her with the necessary skills to excel in high school with a college and career focused mindset. She’s already thinking about where she’ll attend college, with both Arizona State University and The Art Institute of Phoenix as her top choices.

When she’s not busy with her schoolwork, sports, or music, Yamilet enjoys having fun at home with her three siblings.

Yamilet is an eighth grader at Madison Park.
