Keilani Talks About Her Dedication to Dance

Q. You are a dancer, tell us about that? What style? How long have you been dancing? What is your favorite style of dancing?

A. I have been dancing for three years. I do ballet, hip hop, jazz, lyrical and contemporary. My favorite is ballet.

Q. How many hours a week do you practice? Do you find it hard to juggle school and dancing?

A. I dance 12 hours per week. Yes, it can be hard because I have to go as soon as I get out of school everyday and sometimes I feel like staying home and playing instead.

Q. Do you aspire to be a dancer when you grow up?

A. Yes, I want to be a dancer when I grow up. My dream is to be in the New York Ballet, I want to be in the Nutcracker.

Q. What are some of the hardest moves you have had to learn in dancing?

A. The hardest move I have ever learned is definitely head spins. I taught myself how to do them and I am really good for being a girl.

Q. What do you think makes you a great kid?

A. The thing that makes me a good kid is my love for God.
