Q. You play football for James Madison Prep. What position do you play?
A. I was wide receiver on offense and middle linebacker on defense.
Q. You have been said that you helped lead your team to state this year. How do you think you did this?
A. I was a captain who helped encourage my fellow teammates to give it their all and not give up.
Q. What was your best game this year?
A. My best game was against Gila Bend. I scored four touchdowns that game and helped lead the team to a victory. A teammate, who is one of my best friends, got injured early in the season with little hope of playing the rest of his senior season. Our record allowed us to play in the post season and as a result he was well enough to play again. We went on to win games with him getting to play and then played in the state championship game together.
Q. You were the lead in the fall play what was the play? Who did you play? What was your favorite part of being involved in this?
A. This past December our school put on the play “Shawn of the Dead”. I was casted as the lead and played Shawn. It was a story about romance, friends, and zombies. This was my first time as a lead and I had lines in every scene. It was very challenging and rewarding. Everyone in the cast and crew worked really hard. It was amazing to see it all come together. It’s always a privilege to be a part of the plays at James Madison because of our directors. I was thankful too that some of my siblings were able to come and see it.
Q. You have been working hard on your senior project, what are you doing it on?
A. I am doing my senior project on the Broadway Musical “Hamilton”. Two things that I am focusing on are the effects the musical has had on society and how its creators bring together the past with the present.
Keagan is a senior at James Madison Preparatory School.
