Jazlynn Talks Soccer, Eagle of The Month and Honor Roll

Jazlynn has been attending Saint John Vianney since she started kindergarten. She is a very loving and caring young girl and she knows how to bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Q. You play soccer, what position do you play?

A. The team that I play for, our coach would put us in different positions, so that we could learn all the positions in soccer. My favorite position is midfielder.

Q. What do you think your best quality on the field is?

A. Being able to help my teammates make goals or block our opponents.

Q. You are also active in Girl Scouts tell us more about that?

A. As a Brownie Girl Scout I earned ‘My Family My God’ pin, in which it’s a pin that is earned through the Catholic dioceses. Our troop has also participated in Catholic scouting camping retreats with fellow Girl Scouts /American Heritage Girls and Boy Scouts. I’m currently working on ‘I live My Faith’ pin. My troop has also participated in Rosary Sunday. I’m currently working on my Bronze award, which is a high award for Junior Girl Scouts. My mother has been my GS leader and I’m so lucky to have her as my leader.

Q. You have also been ‘Eagle of the Month’ and made Honor Roll, what does this entail?

A. Saint John has pillars and every month it is linked with a pillar. They are ‘Mind, Heart, Hope, Zeal and Family.’ I received eagle of the month for demonstrating ‘Zeal,’ I always set one of my goals and that is to try my best to always make honor roll.

Jazlynn is a fifth grader at Saint John Vianney Catholic School.
