Jacob Talks West-MEC Coding Program

The West-MEC Coding Program prepares students for a career as a software developer. Students are using industry software and learning the following languages: PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, MySQL and Python. The program prepares students to collaboratively design and test code to develop web apps for phones, tablets, and websites.

Q: What do you like best about the West-MEC Coding program?

A: I love the West-MEC Coding program. It’s amazing to walk around the classroom and see everyone’s different ideas, and become inspired to make something great. It’s also quite uplifting to be in an environment where everyone has the same mentality of getting work done and making good quality work.

Jacob Burton is an 11th grader at West-MEC
