Gymnast Lexi Balances Training and School with Ease

Lexi is a great kid because she is able to balance the rigorous demands of being a gymnast and training with a challenging course load in school.

Q. How long have you been at Xtreme Gym and what level are you?

A. I have been at Xtreme since 2005 and I am a level 10 gymnast.

Q. What does a typical week in gymnastics look like for you?

A. A typical week usually consists of five practices that average four and a half hours in length. During competition season which is January April, I compete on average two weekends a month locally and in other states. I hope to qualify for JO Nationals in May.

Q. What is your favorite thing about Xtreme Gym?

A. My favorite thing about Xtreme is how large and spaced out the gym is and that we have such great equipment. Xtreme is also one of the only gyms in Arizona with air conditioning. That is a huge plus! Also the staff gives me amazing support.

Q. What else do you like to do for fun?

A. I love to bake and work out. I love to see my friends and family on my off time.

Q. Any plans for the future?

A. My future plans include college level gymnastics on a scholarship and I would like to study biology and become an RN.

Lexi is a junior at Pinnacle High School.
