Gilbert Arts Academy Student, Michael Porter, is a Positive Role Model

Tell us about yourself?

I like football. Last year I played for the Speed Demons. I play wide-receiver and running back. I like to play Xbox. My favorite game is Call of Duty. I also like to hang out with my family.

Tell us about your family?

My mom is a Dental Assistant and my dad is in the US Army and is currently stationed in Kuwait. I have younger half-sister, Charlotte, and a cat name Maddie.

What are your hobbies outside of school?

Other than playing football, I like to hangout with my friend Ashton. We go swimming and jump on the trampoline.

What is your favorite sport?

I like football because there is a lot of action. My favorite NFL team is the Arizona Cardinals. My favorite player is Larry Fitzgerald because he is a wide receiver like me and has good sportsmanship.

What is your favorite food?

Mac and cheese. Homemade is best. Once I had mac and cheese called “heart attack in a crock pot.” It was my favorite.

What if your favorite subject?

Math is my favorite subject because I like to add stuff and get my hands on things. I also like math because it is challenging but easy too.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be a football player or in business. If I was a businessman I would like to work in a bank.

What is your favorite thing about GAA?

There are nice teachers and good students so it is easy to make friends and I feel like I am loved here.

Michael is a fifth grader at Gilbert Arts Academy.
