Georgia Succeeds at New Way Academy

Georgia McCook is a tenth grader at New Way Academy. She is involved in student government, soccer, theater and plays school mascot. She has a passion for church and dance. Georgia has dyslexia and before coming to New Way for high school last year, remembers struggling in school and being very shy. “I didn’t have any friends and I definitely didn’t feel like my teachers cared about me.” After joining the New Way community, Georgia’s outlook on school was changed. “Everyone here was so welcoming, everyone is your friend, teachers understand the way I learn and more importantly they really care about me,” Georgia said what makes the New Way experience special for her are the smaller class sizes and the exciting events. After high school, she plans on a church mission and attending cosmetology school.
