First Grader Will Talks Sports and School

Will Hostetler is a hard worker at school, home and on the baseball field. At school he works
hard at his project-based learning about being a horticulturalist and studying plants and
greenhouses. He has a huge heart, is very thoughtful and caring, and very passionate in
everything that he does. Will always gives his best no matter what, strives to be the best little
man that he can be and is always willing to help others. He is turning out to be a perfect
example of the word “Leader.”

Q. We understand you’re a skilled baseball and football player! Do you have a favorite team?
A. Oh yes! I practice every day so I can be the best and play at the University of Florida!  My
favorite school for sports is the Florida Gators. They are the greatest team ever in football and
baseball.

Q. Do you have a favorite Lego project you’ve worked on?
A. My latest build was the Lego Ninjago Samurai Cave.

Q. What makes math and science your favorite subjects?
A. Math is fun, challenging, and I can learn a lot. Science is exciting because there are so many
cool things to learn.

Q. Can you tell us about your study of plants and greenhouses?
A. We learned how plants grow and also how to take care of them.

Q. What do you love most about Discover U?
A. I love my teacher Ms. Tuhy because she is the best teacher in the whole world! I really like most of the kids because they are nice and kind.

Q. Do you go camping and fishing often? What is your favorite place to go?
A. I go camping at least once a month. I hunt and fish a few times every month when the seasons allow it. I really enjoy the outdoors a lot because it gives me a chance to spend time and learn how to survive in the wild from my Dad and big brother Sean. My favorite spots are all over Northern AZ and back in South Carolina.

Will Hostetler is a first grader at Discover U.
