For the past 10 years, Valley Metro has invited third grade students in Maricopa County to enter Valley Metro’s Cool Transit STUFF Third Grade Art Contest. This year’s contest theme was Valley Metro…It’s How We Roll.
Ana Payan received Honorable Mention for her entry in the 10th Annual Cool Transit STUFF Third Grade Art Contest. This contest calls on Valley third graders to unleash their artistic side so they can help share the message about how to safely ride the city bus and how public transit helps the environment and improve air quality. Ana received honorable mention in a field of about 325 entries. On December 10, representatives of the competition visited Ana’s classroom to provide her with a gift pack and all of her classmates with a copy of the calendar.

“We are proud of all third graders who entered the contest. We appreciate their help to encourage others to try transit. Their artwork showed how to safely ride transit to fun places as well as helping planet Earth one ride at a time because Valley Metro…It’s How We Roll.” -Valley Metro
