The Accomplishments of Liberty Arts Academy’s Twins, Cedar and Cailyn

Cailyn:

Tell our readers about your recent accomplishment for your poster art contest?  We were given a project in school to make a poster that symbolized peace for the MLK.  I drew a picture about making the world a better place by being the change you want to see in the world.  I won 2nd place out of 100 entries and was awarded $75 and honored at a MLK breakfast at ASU.  All of the winning posters were made into bookmarks and given out to everyone.

You play sports, tell our readers about what sports you play? Which is your favorite? I have played basketball, football, soccer, and I have been on a track team. By far football has been my favorite!

What positions do you usually like to play? In football I love to be wide receiver and quarter back.

What makes a great player, in any sports, in your eyes? Someone who is dedicated, good, never gives up, and is a good sport.

What do you want to be when you grow up? When I grow up I want to be an FBI agent.

What is the most interesting thing about being an identical twin? The fact that there is someone in this world who looks or has looked the exact same as me.

How are you most alike (besides looks) and how are you most different from one another? We are most alike because we both love to dance. We are different because I am more tomboy and she is more girly girl.

What do you like best about Liberty Arts Academy? The thing I like best about LAA is the staff. They all care about the students.

Cedar:

How long have you been a dancer? I have only been taking dance classes since I was 11, but I have thought of myself as a dancer since I was 5.

Which styles are your favorites? I have three favorites, they are contemporary, ballet, and jazz.

What is one of the best and worst things about being an identical twin? One of the best things is always having someone there for me when I need it.  One of the worst things is that people always get us confused or think of us as the same person.

In what way do you tell people how to tell you apart from one another? I always tell people that they can tell us apart by our hair length and that Cailyn has glasses and I don’t.

Are you the only sets of twins in your entire extended family? No. I have cousins that are identical twins. Their names are Chris and Carl. They are 27 years old.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be an owner of a dance studio, and a professional dancer on Broadway.

What do you like best about Liberty Arts Academy?I like that I have known most of the front office staff for most of my life and they are almost like family to me.

Cedar and Cailyn are both 8th graders at Liberty Arts Academy
